CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL EDITOR
Structural, substantive, copy editing, and proofreading
for books by some of Canada's best writers
Ann-Marie Metten is a certified professional editor with more than forty years' experience editing books and magazines. She was the first of a handful of editors to complete all four certification tests and achieve the designation of certified professional editor (CPE) through the Editors Association of Canada. She also holds a Masters of Publishing from Simon Fraser University. Most recently, she worked in-house for the literary publisher Talonbooks, editing drama, novels, and non-fiction, including the manuscripts of Indigenous writers such as Tomson Highway, Bev Sellars, and Drew Hayden Taylor. She now administers the author residency at Joy Kogawa House in Vancouver while providing editorial services to the book and magazine trade.
Ann-Marie is available for freelance editing projects.
